Abstract

The Shanxi Library is a modern cultural institution designed to integrate seamlessly with its environment while providing extensive resources and services. The building features a sculptural form inspired by traditional Chinese architecture, with a focus on reader-centric design. The library includes multiple reading rooms, a large auditorium, and exhibition spaces. Sustainable design elements include natural ventilation, green spaces, and energy-efficient systems. The exterior design uses a rock-like form with layered edges, symbolizing the accumulation of knowledge.
