JWACA2024-036: Jinan Southern Mountain Region Yueshe Stay House

Abstract

The Yueshe Stay House in Jinan's southern mountain region is a boutique guesthouse designed with a focus on integrating traditional elements with modern comfort. The project, completed in 2022, features a unique rammed earth construction technique, inspired by traditional northern Chinese dwellings. The design maximizes the use of natural light and views, incorporating large windows and a courtyard layout. The building is divided into a residential section and a guesthouse area, ensuring privacy while allowing shared use of facilities. The project emphasizes sustainability and a connection to nature, offering a serene retreat in a picturesque setting.
