Abstract

Underground shopping malls are specified by Ministry of the Environment as the buildings which are expected to be effective in reducing CO2 emissions on a large scale. In this study, we calculate air-conditioning load based on the measuring data and hearing surveys. We examine the reduction of air-conditioning load in underground shopping malls by changing the ventilation load. And we examine the reduction of CO2 emissions when lighting is upgraded to LEDs and the amounts of air sent by the air conditioning systems are controlled according to the air-conditioning load.
