The type of plant and substrates has a very important effect in domestic wastewater treatment by constructed wetland. This research is measured and analysis the effects of pollutant removals of domestic wastewater treatment by constructed wetland in frigid regions of northeast china. In the different substrates, we studied the influence on the removal effect of NH4+-N, NO3-N, TN, TP, COD under this plant order: Cannas and purple loosestrifes, Purple loosestrifes, Cannas, no plant. In addition, In the case of the same plant, the influence of the removal effect of NH4+-N, NO3-N, TN, TP, COD under the substrates order: gravel, Ferric-carbon micro-electrolysis filler, slag were measured. Furthermore, In the case of the same plant, the influence of the removal effect of TP was measured under the order as Ferric-cabin micro-electrolysis filler, gravel, and slag.
