Abstract

Helianthin wastewater was oxidized by Cu2O as photo catalyst under the sunlight. The results indicated that Cu2O had great photocatalytic performance for helianthin wastewater degradation: COD concentration of helianthin wastewater decreased from 392.05 mg/L to 17 mg/L in 6h, and the removal rate of helianthin was 95.7%; COD removal rate decreased a little with rising concentration of helianthin wastewater, and COD removal rate decreased to 87% when COD concentration of helianthin was 1264.2mg/L. The optimal dosage of Cu2O is 0.6g Cu2O/g helianthin for degrading helianthin.
