Abstract

Around large railway station areas, after a disaster or other emergency, it is important to quickly collect damage information around the station and to properly guide the many people who are staying in the area. However, the construction of such an area-wide information system has not progressed. In this study, we collected environmental information, such as damage information and the location of temporary living facilities such as shelters, and built a system that can guide evacuations based on that information, thereby preventing confusion by temporary sojourners around stations and buildings and ensuring their safety. It is also designed to be used as a system that can be used in everyday situations, to relieve crowded cities and to prevent heatstroke. Various surveys have been conducted on temporary residence facilities and surrounding open spaces in station areas to grasp their current environmental and disaster prevention aspects. The surveys indicate that during power outages, many high-rise buildings do not have enough air-conditioning energy in their lobbies, which become temporary residence facilities in emergencies, yet an information system that quickly collects information on the building side has not yet been established. This has proved to be a major issue.
