In recent years, disaster risks are increasing due to earthquakes, tsunami, floods, landslides, heavy rain and so on. In Japan, the hazard maps have already been prepared, but it was clarified that these maps were not always practical at the Great East Japan Earthquake Disaster because of unexpected and multiple disasters. After the events, it has been requested to establish the practical hazard maps for refuge planning and countermeasures against natural disasters. Therefore in this study, we have collected various hazard maps of 35 cities, towns and villages in Miyagi prefecture, investigated how damage has been forecasted, where the dangerous districts caused by multiple disasters or imperfect measures and how information has been maintained for each area. As a result of investigating various hazard maps of 35 municipalities in Miyagi prefecture, it was found there were many problems. For example, specifications were completely different in each municipality. Based on these findings, by using the data from various hazard maps to identify regions with high risk of damage from natural disasters, we will aim to establish and re-evaluate the practical refuge planning for future study.
