In this study, the energy saving performance of cogeneration system (CGS) for the fishery processing
complex is quantitatively obtained with respect to the operation type to suit electric power demand or to suit
heat demand, in order to clarify the effective CGS operation method in the fishery processing complex. In
the fishery processing complex, the scale, major fish species, and fishery processing methods are various, so
the actual consumption of energy is also different. Therefore, in this study, analyzing the relationship
between the thermoelectric ratio and the energy saving performance of CGS after grasping the energy
consumption about electric power and steam for 13 fishery processing complex within a fishery city with a
large fishing port, there is a correlation between the thermoelectric ratio and the energy saving performance
in both systems, and it was found that the type to suit heat demand is superior in energy saving performance,
but it is reversed depending on the power sale ratio of CGS generated power amount
