JAUE2017-129: A Study on the Internationalization Strategy of Korea Construction Standards Code for Facilities

Republic of Korea recently notified the construction standards code of 2016 in order to minimize thereflection time of the latest laws, regulations and technology and to avoid duplication and conflict between construction standards. The 2016 construction Standard codes are classified into 13 categories, and they are managed by KDS, which is a Korea design standard, and KCS, which is a Korea standard specification.This study analyzed the current status of construction codes in the facility sector and proposed the Internationalization Strategy of Korea’s construction standards. The construction standards offacilities are used indesign and construction with low energy and sustainable structures by combining the ConstructionTechnology PromotionAct,which are the basisof existing monograph construction standards, the Act on the Assistance to the Composition Green Building and other construction standards. Through this research, by comparing with the construction standards of major developed countries, advanced and internationalized Korean construction standards can be intendedto.
