JAUE2014-005 A study on the efficient provision method of asbestos information within University Dormitory through the Questionnaire survey

Abstract

 The University dormitory is the place of learning, convenience and cultural leisure besides the residential facility and should perform to play the role as the other place of education outside the lecture room. However, there are many old buildings out of facilities of University dormitory; lots of asbestos containing materials as well are included. The use of asbestos has been prohibited owing to the harmfulness for the human body, it is the state that the dismantling and processing of remaining asbestos containing material remains as the problem still. The investigation of asbestos recognition of residents within the dormitory of University and the provision method of efficient asbestos information through the questionnaire survey have been analyzed in this study. As a result of questionnaire survey, the recognition has been investigated to be low as we know the countermeasure method or the handling method at time of exposure of asbestos whereas the recognition appeared to be high as we know asbestos 51.7 %, we know the dangerousness of asbestos 79.8 %, asbestos containing material has the effect on the human health 88.3 %. 82.4 % appeared not to know asbestos related policy of government, 81 % appeared not to know for asbestos management plan out of 17.7 % who responded that we know
