Abstract

The purpose of this research is the evaluation of the power saving effort after The Great East Japan Earthquake. Temperature sensitivity of electric power supply is well known. In order to evaluate the power saving in the target year in comparison with previous year, it is necessary to remove influence of the difference of air temperature. In this research, in order to remove the influence of temperature in power supply amount, I proposed a method using an hourly temperature sensitivity curve in power supply. In this study, I examined hourly different in power supply in order to clarify causes why secular change appeared in power supply. Weekdays and holidays were analysed individually for an accurate estimation. The economical influence appeared clearly in business hours. The influence of the earthquake appeared clearly in weekdays. The influence of the earthquake was clear and large in the office hours and relatively small in early morning. This was an opposite tendency against the observed result of an intense heat.
