Abstract

With the rapid development of the pharmaceutical industry, production of wastewater are produced in the process of pollution to the environment is also growing, poses a serious threat to human health. Pharmaceutical wastewater with complex composition, high organic matter content, toxicity, deep chromaticity, etc. In this paper,the pharmaceutical wastewater treatment at home and abroad are reviewed.The application of various physical and chemical, chemical, biochemical, and combination of technology is reviewed and the paper introduces some advanced ideas and technology. Finally the future development of the pharmaceutical wastewater treatment methods were also discussed.
