In Sendai City in summer, it is known from our laboratory's findings that sea breezes (southeast wind) have the
effect of suppressing temperature rise as a measure for urban heat, and the temperature rise becomes large due to
the west wind. Although the wind direction can be seen from the temperature change, the actual wind direction is
not known. Therefore, we will conduct CFD analysis of Sendai City using regional weather model WRF, and analyze
the relationship between wind direction and temperature change. In addition, we analyze the difference between the
wind direction and the temperature change of the sea breeze and the west wind, and aim to deepen the knowledge
on the influence of the sea breeze and to improve the factors for considering the measures.
In conclusion, focusing on the wind direction at 15 o'clock on August 16,2013when the temperature distribution
was close to the actual measurement of sea breeze, it was found that the wind direction was southeast from the coast
to the city. However, the wind direction in the Inland area was northwest. In the simulation, the sea breeze did not
heat the inland, but heated the northeastern part of the city.
