Abstract

3D printing concrete(3DPC) is becoming increasingly popular in the construction project, due to its advantages such as free geometric modeling, fast forming speed, no need for formwork support, material savings, and environmental protection, etc. The current research on 3DPC mostly focuses on the printing technology and its materials, as well as the application for beams, slabs, columns, walls and other building components. The application of 3DPC components simultaneously pushing forward higher requirements for its various performance, however, there is few studies focusing on this relevant research. This paper firstly introduces the basic principles and related processes of 3DPC, and then reviews the research progress on the performance of 3DPC wall components in the last five years from the following four performance: thermal performance, structural performance, ventilation performance and acoustic performance, summarizes the problems existing in the current application of 3DPC wall components. Based on the influence and relationship of printing form control on component performance, including printing process design, component section geometry, surface texture, cavity setting, etc., the development prospect of 3DPC wall components is demonstrated, providing a reference for the design and development in the near future.
