Abstract

This article addresses the globalization challenge in architectural education through three perspectives: local materials and construction techniques, indigenous aesthetics, and technological innovation. This article shares experiences from Taiwan's Asia University Museum of Modern Art, focusing on the mastery of fair-faced concrete inspired by Tadao Ando's approach. The "Borneo Aesthetics Laboratory" demonstrates how students explore local materials through hands-on experimentation. The article also discusses the "Little Library Project," which uses shipping containers and greenhouse construction methods to create culturally appropriate community spaces for underserved populations. Finally, this article explores AI applications in land development decision-making, emphasizing that technology should enhance rather than replace human judgment in architectural practice.
