Abstract

This article explored the integration of green design principles into architectural practice. It discussed various projects that exemplify sustainable design, such as the Qingdao West Coast New Area Vocational Secondary School and the Yantai Zhifu New City Wuyue Plaza. It emphasized the importance of leveraging site-specific characteristics to create energy-efficient buildings and the need to extend the lifespan of existing structures through adaptive reuse. The article advocated for a holistic approach to green architecture that balances environmental sustainability with social and cultural considerations.
