Abstract

Green remodeling project is one of Korea’s green building policies and is aimed at reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gases by improving the energy performance of old buildings. The green remodeling project is supported through application and examination in the private and public sectors. In general, construction such as internal and external insulation reinforcement, high-performance windows, and door installation is carried out, and at this time, the existing window and interior material dismantling work is preceded.
In this paper, when existing window and interior materials are dismantled, indoor air quality is measured and analyzed to predict the impact on construction workers. During the COVID-19 period, dismantling workers were also required to wear masks, but most of them were not worn. Currently, the obligation to wear a mask has been lifted, which is more worrisome for the health of dismantling workers. Construction workers were also aware that there was a lot of dust in construction site, but they were reluctant to wear masks for the efficiency of the work.
