Abstract

With China’s rapid urbanization, environmental problem exist throughout the country. It is essential to do more 
in-depth study to explore the relationship between urbanization and the eco-environment.Our study further 
obtained the urbanization level index and eco-environment level index for each province, while most previous 
studies and analysis focused on the regional level, rather than the provincial level. The result has give reliable 
assessment and evaluation on the urbanization and eco-environment development level and spatial pattern across 
China in 2013. In addition, according to different characteristics of urbanization and environment index, the result 
of our study provides instructional development planning for each province in China
