jaue2015056: Study on the Improvement of Wind Environment in Higashi-yokobori-river Park

Abstract

As one of the heat island measures in urban development, we examined Kaze-no-michi, " the way of the wind", and considered the improvement of the wind environment around the Higasi-yokohori-river Park by Computational Fluid Dynamics method in this study. The park along Higashi-yokobori-river, is located in the east of Osaka. Sea breeze blows in the sky over the object area. However the wind in the park is blocked by buildings. A structure for ventilation control is proposed at the riverside of the park. This study examined the effect of structure which drawn down the wind of the sky to the ground. The improvement plan of the wind environment in the city as one of the heat island measures is investigated.
