Abstract

Recently, heavy rains caused by unusual weather phenomenon increase the flooding in urban areas. So stormwater pumping station that is one of the prevention facilities has installed and operated for inland inundation in the lowland. The pump capacity of the stormwater pumping station is estimated using rainfall runoff models such as SWMM, ILLUDAS, RRL etc, but stormwater pumping station is designed differently depending on the designer's reference, economics, securing the installation space. So far, many studies have been conducted on the capacity of stormwater pumping station, mainly focusing on capacity determination and controlling methods, but few were attempted on the spatial response capacity that a stormwater pumping station can handle. Thus in this study, focus on the regular flooded area in Nogok-dong, Buk-gu in Daegu Metropolitan City estimate the relatively lowland and catchment volume, flood risk area by using Arc GIS. In this respect, the present study was aimed to propose a plan to prevent the reoccurrence of flood damages in Nogok-dong through the analysis of the spatial response capacity of a stormwater pumping station on the basis of planned capacity
