Abstract

This paper verified the reliability of ENVI-met microclimate numerical simulation software by numerically simulating the microclimates surrounding different elementary schools and analyzed the microclimate characteristics of the surrounding environments of different elementary schools. Take the surrounding environment of two typical elementary schools in the Kurosaki area of Kitakyushu City as examples: Kurosaki Chuo Elementary School, Kumanishi Elementary School. The paper selects typical sunny weather conditions, uses ENVI-met software to build a numerical simulation model, compares the simulation results with the measured values, and verifies the accuracy of the model. The microclimate characteristics of the surrounding environment of two elementary schools were simulated and analyzed. The different types of environments around the elementary school will cause greater differences in the overall microclimate. ENVI-met software can better predict the trend of temperature changes and has certain applicability for evaluating the microclimate design and urban planning of the surrounding environment of elementary schools.
