In this study we draw hourly electric-power use patterns of elderly households in korea. The hourly energy use of electricity in elderly households is slightly different from that of others. Because the hourly energy use is influenced by lifetime-use tween households of different income, occupation and dwelling conditions. In Korea, our society is rapidly aging, so the pattern of use that suggested in this study can be used when calculating hourly electric-power demand, estimating a peak load at a specific time for energy-security. In this study, we calculate hourly electric-power use for nearly 400 samples that represent elderly households in korea and we conduct a cluster analysis for drawing characteristics of electric-power use. At this time the living characteristics of elderly households such as income-level, occupation, dwelling condition and satisfaction of time-use are considered. For calculating the electric power use that can be influenced by household activity like lighting, appliances and cooking, we derived a behavioral schedule from survey data of elderly households with in a 10-min time resolution. We also considered energy-use and penetration rate of household appliances for calculating standby power. As a resul,we found 6 electric-power use patterns of elderly households.
