JAUE2012-065: Study on the psychological a sense of distance by architecture

Abstract

We think that psychologically comfortable space and this psychological sense have a close relationship to each other.And, psychological sense of architecture's application is an important element when designing architecture. In this research, we have investigated the variety of image of architecture, especially the psychological sense of distance. We have used the Semantic differential method in searching for the relationship between those former mentioned aspects. This study is limited to selecting pair of adjectives and pair of adjective verb to use the Semantic differential method.
