As a new energy efficient equipment, the ground source heat pump (GSHP) system was preferred in many
offices, commercial buildings and high-end residential. But the non-intelligent operation of multiple-units in the
actual operation process leads to the unbalance of operating load rate and as a result, the operation efficiency of
the system is low. According to the actual operation data of the GSHP system in a high-end residential, the
machine internal energy model was gotten by the nonlinear fitting of the unit energy consumption under different
load rate based on the above problems. This paper focus on optimizing and analysing the effect of the different
operation modes for GSHP system. Firstly, the GSHP system was operated in the different hourly load curves by
the internal energy consumption curve of the unit. And then the optimal energy efficiency was determined by the
unit's load regulation rate of the operation. In conclusions, the optimal energy efficiency of GSHP system under
different operating modes is compared to the actual operating efficiency from which getting an optimal mode of
operation. This paper will have a great useful for the energy-saving operation of GSHP system.
