Abstract

In recent times, environmental issues have received significant attention globally, and the necessity of technology to reduce emissions, which are the primary cause of the greenhouse effect, is rising. In Korea, the field of construction is responsible for 35% of emission—most of it arising from cement production. Therefore, the commercialization of geopolymer that can substitute cement in concrete is an immediate need. In order to achieve this, research trends on geopolymer were investigated through existing domestic and foreign research studies, and the applicability of geopolymer in construction sites is to be examined based on these references.
