Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the antibiotic resistance gene in sludge drying reed bed. We extracted the genomic DNA from sludge, detected the antibiotic resistance gene by fluorescence quantitative PCR, and ultimately quantitated the resistance gene ermF in sludge drying reed bed. Through the comparison of the resistance gene ermF, we investigated the affection of sludge drying reed bed on antibiotic resistance genes. This study provides insight into potential options for managing antibiotic resistance, and provides the research foundation on the major challenges to human health such as antibiotic pollution and declining trend of antibiotic effects and so on.
