Abstract

The residential satisfactions considered in public housing should be determined to dealing with occupancy’s requirement. Unsatisfied of living environments contributes to reduce quality of life. Post occupancy evaluation (POE) is a widely well-known as a tool that able to indentify satisfaction and comfort level needs by occupants as consequence of physical and environmental problems. Public housing occupants are mainly the key factor of evaluation to improve their living environments. This study purposes to review the previously research on public housing’s satisfaction in Thailand and how to use POE to improve quality of living environments. To determining occupant’s satisfaction level, POE framework and structure are constructed for data collection in conjunction with physical environment factors. POE is not only to identify the positive and negative building performance on occupant’s satisfaction but it shows the feedback to relevant stakeholders for decision making to maintain sustainable environment.
