As safety accidents increase, school safety education is becoming a major concern for society. The Ministry
of Education has released the “Seven Standards for School Safety Education Guidelines (2015)” as a
comprehensive measure for safety. Therefore, we surveyed 55 teachers in charge of safety education in middle
and high school to find out the perceptions and education status in middle and high school about safety
education based on the 7 standard drafts of school safety education. As a result of the survey, flood safety
education was not well implemented. In this paper, we proposed the education method and contents for The
type of flood safety education required by the safety education teachers is an experiential education, which
indicates that the safety specialist has designated and operated a safety education experience day once a year
at the safety experience center. It is expected that these results will be utilized as basic data for the establishment
and implementation of flood safety education plans for education offices and unit schools in the future.
