JWACA2025-033: Waterfront Tearoom in Daqiao-He Park

Abstract

This tearoom is located within a riverside park in Ganzhou. The design minimizes site intervention by preserving existing trees and following topographic contours to create a low-lying, linear form that blends into the landscape. The building provides light catering and services, with multi-level terraces and platforms that enhance connectivity to the water and park. Green roofs compensate for the occupied ground area, and visual corridors are maintained to preserve views, resulting in a building that dissolves into its natural context.
