JWACA2023-052: Repairing & Practical Passing——Architectural View Based on Architectural Heritage Protection

Abstract

In the 18th century, "restoration" became the mainstream method for the preservation of historic buildings, which is to find value in heritage sites and restore the historical site and architectural memory of old buildings in the repair process. In the 16th century, "practical passing" became a new concept of "unity of knowledge and action" in China. It was proposed that "practical passing" was realized in the repeated process of practice and cognition. In the practice of architectural heritage protection, repairing & practical passing theory put forward methods for architectural heritage value judgment, and put forward a reverse thinking path for architecture, from the historical building repair process to study the construction of traditional architecture, building intelligence and design method, build heritage architecture studies system, formed based on the concept of construction of architectural heritage protection.
