JWACA2024-025: Wuhan wireless power plant renovation design

Abstract

The Wuhan Wireless Power Plant Renovation Design transforms a former industrial site into a vibrant modern service district. The project retains and renovates well-preserved historical buildings while demolishing and replacing poorly-constructed later additions. The renovated complex includes core industries, exhibition spaces, service facilities, and management offices. The design concept features an "aerial town" with interconnected rooftops and walkways, maximizing the value of upper floors in a high-density urban context. The project also includes a multi-level parking solution to address the lack of parking spaces. The landscape design integrates greenery, water features, and public art, creating a functional and aesthetically rich environment.
