jaue2013008: Research on the condensation and indoor thermal condition in Jeju houses

Abstract

The problem with indoor condensation appears variety depending on the local environment and still has a lot of issues. In general, condensation is caused by the temperature drop of structure by thermal bridges and lack of insulation. Otherwise, Jeju Island has much affect by humid external environment because of the geographical characteristics by Halla Mountain and island. And the residential building located on the coast and mountainside in Jeju is frequently damage of condensation by strong wind and high humidity. But, the building is a renovated every year due to lack of plan to prevent condensation and understanding. In this study, insulation properties of the wall and distribution of moisture and condensation were analyzed with field survey of Jeju houses. The proposed plan through the analysis can be prevent condensation with natural ventilation conditions, ventilation plan for solution to stagnant internal moisture.
