In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, it is developing through the combination of technology and convergence of varied and advanced industrial fields. Particularly since 2016, many studies related to the construction of the 3D spatial information utilizing UAVs have been undertaken. The 3D model construction is primarily used for exterior survey or reverse engineering of facilities and buildings, yet it has high risk and can be very costly in the area where human access is difficult as UAVs can be advantageous for their facility to acquire the
shooting results in a relatively easy way with relatively less cost and manpower. Most of the studies related to the construction of 3D models using UAVs are focused on the precision analysis of 3D models of objects. However, UAVs can be used to significantly influence the level and quality of the modeling results according to the flight method when constructing a 3D model. Therefore, in this study, I have compared and analyzed 3D modeling results
according to the two flight modes when creating a 3D model using the UAVs’ images. It is foreseeable that they can be used as basic data for selecting the UAVs’ flight mode in the future construction of a 3D model.
