Since the Tohoku Earthquake, there has been a movement to introduce business continuity planning (BCP) to buildings because the necessity of enhancing organizational resilience has been recognized. Originally, BCP examination requires careful verification, but the construction process and the decision-making method are unclear, so a proper BCP design is difficult. On the other hand, in energy-conservation designs, there is a trial operation process as a means to clarify appropriate decision-making and construction procedures, but its effect is not well
known. Therefore, in this research, we verify that the commissioning process is applied to the BCP design process. We prepare two kinds of model buildings: a construction that already exists and a building that is currently being planned. Then, we apply the commissioning process from the planning stage to the BCP of the building scheduled to correspond to BCP and compare the BCPs of the two buildings to clarify their effect.
