JAUE2017-100: A Study on Energy Saving Effect of Energy Performance Improvement Program for Low-Income Households in Korea

Abstract

The Energy Efficiency Improvement Program is being implemented as part of a national response to the problem 
of energy poverty. This study examines the performance of the energy efficiency improvement program of lowincome households in Korea and aims to support the improvement of the efficiency of future energy performance 
improvement program by quantifying the effect of insulation and airtightness performance on energy saving effect. 
In this study, the heat insulation performance and the improvement of the airtightness performance are investigated 
and analyzed through the implementation of the housing energy performance improvement program. In addition, 
the energy saving effect of the program was analyzed using the performance improvement and ISO13790 monthly 
calculation method.
