Abstract

Reed wetland plays an important role in the collection and emission of greenhouse gases CO2 and CH4. Wetland plants absorb CO2 from the atmosphere by photosynthesis, and then convert them into organic matter, and eventually form humus and peat, forming carbon sinks. The organic matter in the soil is decomposed by microorganism into CO2 and CH4 in anaerobic environment, and released directly into the atmosphere and form the source of greenhouse gases. The research aims at greenhouse gases emission in constructed wetland sewage treatment system, reviews the research achievements of sludge drying reed bed, and presents the next research emphasis of the technology.
