Abstract

With the increase of residents' requirements for the living environment, the current indoor thermal environment
cannot meet the needs of modern residents in northeast of Sichuan. Proposing low-cost energy-saving strategies for
existing dwellings to improve their indoor thermal environment and reduce building energy consumption is an
urgent issue for this region. By field investigation, the architectural features and the indoor thermal environment of
local rural traditional dwellings were grasped. Based on it, a Researched Model was extracted as a research object.
By numerical simulation, the energy-saving strategies of the exterior envelop system were proposed. Simulation
results show that the best efficiency energy-saving strategy can reduce about 82% of annual total load. In addition,
the daynamic investment paybak period of each energy-saving strategy was calculated. Since the saving effects and
economic of each strategy is analyzed, the results of this paper can provide some data support and have some
reference value for local residents and policymakers.
