jaue2019-005: Research on Human Preference and Pleasantness Evaluation of Architectural Features

Abstract

Most architectural design depend on architects' aesthetics and self-understanding of architecture, but in many 
cases, architects' subjective aesthetics cannot be recognized by the public, and the planning of space cannot satisfy 
the users. If it can be adjusted according to the local people's aesthetics and habits, it may make the building more 
in line with the local people's needs. When I learned from many papers that architects have different aesthetics 
from other people, so I tried to explore more aesthetic difference and tendency, I contact with the author of an 
journal article To request his Images of experiments, also learn the test methods, but I use Eye Tracking Instead of 
fMRI , because of the difference of experimental group and the experimental equipment, I want to make the 
different results of different cultural backgrounds. This paper firstly, to explores do different cultures have 
different aesthetics 漓Secondly, use eye tracker to show the experimental results. Thirdly, to explores the 
difference between the results of the Eye Tracking and fMRI.
