JWACA2023-024: Putuo Caoyang Centennial Park

Abstract

Putuo Caoyang Centennial Park transforms a former railway market into a multi-layered, pedestrian-friendly community park. The design concept, "3K," integrates art and community life through a series of interconnected spaces, including underground galleries, elevated walkways, and open plazas. The park features a love bridge, a sunken plaza, and a cloud corridor, creating a dynamic spatial experience. The project aims to enhance community engagement and urban renewal by providing a green, accessible space that responds to the local context and history.
