In that case, the regenera and revitalization is urgently required, especially in Kagoshima Prefecture and Nagasaki Prefecture which have many remote islands. In this paper, the living situation and the problems of the remote islands in Kyushu are investigated. Finally, the result of this research can be used as a method and suggestion on policy making for local government or municipalities. Furthermore this research is also intended to promote the sustainable development of the Kyushu area.
