jaue2016014: A Study on the Significance of the Enactment of the Framework Act on Building in Comparison of Korea and Japan

Abstract

Since the early 2000s, the discussion on the enactment of the Framework Act on Building has continued in both Korea and Japan specifically with regard to the consistency among laws concerning architecture. This Framework Act on Building was enacted in 2007, and in Japan, 「Framework Act on Building Council」 has taken the lead of collecting opinions from various circles. The objective of this study is to examine the significance of the Framework Act on Building in Korea and Japan by comparing the basic formations, major contents, problems, etc. of the Framework Act on Building in the two countries.
