jaue2016028: Study on Park Systems-Case Study in Hibikino Area of Kitakyushu, Japan

Abstract

Creating an environmental friendly society and provide proper areas for recreation are very important for residents since it has invaluable benefits for their daily life. However, as the rapid development of the whole society, the locations and functions of parks have been changed. China and Japan are both East Asian countries with lots of similarities, this paper hopes to do the comparative study on the park systems between these two countries, to introduce the composition and form of parks, explore park management system, and put forwards suggestions on the planning of parks in China. Based on a survey in Hibikino area of Kitakyushu, Japan, the Japanese park system is showed in this paper and it hopes that the analyzed results can be used as reference in the future park planning and improvement.
