Abstract

Recently, reduction peak power of the demand side is focused on. Since many middle and small tenant building exists, reducing the peak power of many buildings will make a great effect. Considering the peak power is influenced by the electric consumption of each tenant, cooperation of landlord and tenants is necessary to reduce peak power. First, the energy conservation certificate was analyzed and the reduction potential of reducing the peak power by ten percent was calculated. The utility costs will be reduced by approximately $1,000 per each 50kW of contract demand. The enable measuring method of building energy consumption dependent on the reduction potential was classified as 1)Short term measurement of the entire building, 2)Short term measurement of each tenant, 3)Full time measurement of the entire building, 4)Full time measurement of each tenant, and a cooperation system of landlord and tenant was proposed. Then the efficiency of short term measurement was verified and resulted that this method is efficient if the peak power occurs on a specific time. Finally a method of cooperation was proposed and the necessary method to reduce peak power by 10 percent was analyzed by using the energy simulation software ESUM.
