JAUE2014-057 Cooling load calculation of a house in Osaka with Energyplus

Abstract

Energyplus soft is a soft that can automatically calculates the building load in a very short time after adding the information of the building. The calculation of the air conditioning loads is an important part of the design of the building equipment. Calculating the load accurately and quickly will help designers legitimately select the equipment, thus to achieve energy savings. In the study, the authors simulated a simple house’s cooling load in Osaka of Japan with this soft. How to add the information of the building, such as the doors, the windows, was discussed and also the accuracy of the calculated cooling load was estimated.
