The participation of robots in building construction is already a global trend. As a future material carrier for
building industrialization, robot construction has promoted the realization process of customized production and
intelligent on-site construction. This paper focuses on the actual case, through the simulation reconstruction of a
built-in residential building, from the design process, the actual construction process to the final result, exploring
the possibility of robots participating in the construction of residential buildings, comparing the advantages and
disadvantages of the two design and construction modes, founding that the current problems and difficulties in the
construction of robot construction.
