This paper is research for future Typical floor design for low-rise buildings of low-income people. The aim is to
design a kind of typical floor in apartment that with energy efficiency, eco-living, sustainable design, suitable with
tropical conditions. The research's target to the low- income urban residents, who pay a larger portion of their
income on energy and are least able to afford higher energy prices or cope with unexpected fluctuations in energy
costs. Energy is the fuel for everyday living. Energy is essential to health, development and livelihoods —
whether used inside the home, for cooking and heating, or in our cities and towns, for transport and productive
activities. Yet energy use can also be harmful to health — particularly in old cramped social housing where
owning the backward design, inefficient or inappropriate methods of heating, cooking and living may degrade
home and community environments, and have severe impacts on health. Therefore, a new typical flooring design
which can reduce the indoor air pollution was designed and discussed in this paper. it is better than the traditional
buildings’ design. it makes possible to reduce the air pollutants and decrease incidence of illnesses of asthma or
lung cancer and so on. This saves not only lives, but also the financial and social costs of medical treatment and
lost productivity
