Abstract

This poster investigates the characteristics that influenced the Itaewon area, dividing them into physical environment and social environment, and analyzes their impact on the Itaewon crowd crush. Among the physical environment, road width, road length, ramps, bottlenecks. Regarding social environment. we investigated pedestrian traffic volume based on public transportation. These environment were investigated using web-based map services (Google Map, Naver Map, National Spatial Information Portal), The report of the Itaewon crowd crush , and public transportation population flow statistics.
