This paper aims to propose an improved method for the new double-layerTrombe wall: by changing the window-to-wall ratio to achieve the purpose of increasing thermal comfort. The paper mainly introduces a double-layer Trombe wall with temperature-controlled DC fans. In past experiments, we have been conducted an actual measurement and simulated by using THERB for HAM software. And through simulation optimization, energy consumption is greatly reduced. However, the result analysis showed that there was overheating in the room. In order to reduce the indoor temperature during the day and improve the indoor thermal comfort, this experiment simulated the thermal performance of the double-layer Trombe wall under the optimized conditions, comparing the effects of different window-to-wall ratios on thermal performance and indoor temperature. Through experiments, the more heat energy can be collected by the double-layer Trombe wall with a larger window-to-wall ratio, the greater the energy consumption that can be reduced, but the more serious the situation of overheat. Comprehensive consideration, the window-to-wall ratio of 40%-50% for Trombe wall is a more suitable choice.
