jaue2015012: The Studies of Chinese Existing Housing and Its Renovation

Abstract

Housing, which features large amount constructions, is one of the most important building types all over the world. This paper reviews the history of Chinese residential construction; by studying the land policies, economic policies and different types of ownership, the development stages of Chinese urban housing is clarified, and the characteristics and issues of each stage are analyzed. Through typical renovation case studies in China. In this paper, we attempts to explore the focus and the methods of China's housing renovation. By analyzing the features of Chinese housing renovation , and find out the emphasis and the difficulty of future housing renovation research in China can be found.
