jaue20130056: Emergency Water Supply of Tohoku Bunka Gakuen University in the Great East Japan Earthquake

Abstract

On the assumption when a disaster occurs, we have developed emergency water supply equipment to be attached to existing facilities. To be able to actually use this equipment, on June 26 in 2010, we have installed this equipment to the receiving-water tank in the Tohoku Bunka Gakuen University.
14:46 March 11 in 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, water supply system of all of Sendai city has stopped.
From the next day, using this equipment, we supplied drinking water to residents around our university.
